Christina Scott Sayer

Christina Scott Sayer

Christina Scott Sayer grew up on the Central Coast of California before relocating to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia to attend undergraduate school. She relished her time in academia and continued her studies with masters degrees in Renaissance and children’s literature. She spent a decade at the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, VA, serving in various positions, including education and marketing roles. After moving to Knoxville in 2016, her focus shifted to service-oriented nonprofit work at Random Acts of Flowers and Make-A-Wish East Tennessee, where she embraced opportunities to be more active in and make a difference in her community. A voracious reader and avid writer, Christina has written nine produced plays and is in the throes of completing her first novel. She also enjoys volunteering, performing, traveling, baking, and spending time with her husband and their four pets.

Helena Taylor

Helena Taylor

Helena Taylor is an Educational Outreach Counselor for Bluefield State University, while serving as Chapter Advisor for the BSU chapter of Gamma Beta Phi Society. She is passionate about Gamma Beta Phi and has been associated with the society for 18 years. She proudly served two years as an advisor member on the National Executive Committee and received recognition for her chapter as the Exemplary Chapter and a Distinguished Chapter multiple times from the Gamma Beta Phi National Executive Committee. In addition, the BSU Student Government Association presented two awards of distinction two consecutive years, The SGA Blue Star Award and Blue Flame Award, for her work with the BSU GBP chapter. She attributes her participation in the society for opening the doors of leadership, self-confidence, and community involvement. Helena has had the opportunity to hold many leadership roles within Gamma and through other BSU organizations. She cites the most rewarding part of this participation is the opportunity to mentor students.
