And it also gives a number of chapter members an opportunity to increase their skills in putting together a scrapbook.

  • Eligibility - State: Every active chapter of the Society is eligible to enter a scrapbook in either the two-year school or the university division of the annual state competition of the state in which the chapter is located.

In the event that only one scrapbook is entered in a division on the state level, that scrapbook automatically wins. However, that scrapbook must be present at the National Convention and must undergo judging again.

  • Eligibility - National: The winning scrapbook from each division on the state level is entered in the competition on the national level. The NEC Representative is responsible for sending the winning scrapbooks to National Headquarters Scrapbook

Awards are given at two levels

  • State: Each state shall determine the number and nature of awards to be given and shall fund them from the state treasury. Every chapter in the state should be made aware of the policy.
  • National: Each of the two division winners on the national level shall receive “Best Scrapbook” patch (for placing on the Chapter banner) for the chapter to keep. The ribbons will be presented through 4th place in each division.
