Heifer International
The Gamma Beta Phi Society’s National Project is helping Heifer International. The project was selected with each Chapter’s ability to participate in mind.
The National Service Project is Heifer International, which is a non-profit organization, works to end world hunger and save the earth by providing a "living loan" of livestock to families living in poverty around the world. The animals, which range from water buffalo to chickens, provide food and income to some of the most desperate families. Heifer has helped more than 8.5 million families in more than 125 countries improve their quality of life and move toward greater self-reliance. Your chapter can raise money to help a family rise out of poverty to a better life of help and hope by buying a whole animal or a share of an animal. For more information, contact www.heifer.org.
