The Gamma Beta Phi Society has four awards that recognize excellence in the name of past Gamma Beta Phi Leaders.
1. The W.R. "Russ" McCauley Scholarship Award. The Society gives out this monetary award to a member that has gone above and beyond in the fields of community service and academics. Mr. Russ McCauley was the National Executive Treasurer for many years. He was a giant supporter of The Gamma Beta Phi Society and its' ideals.
2. The Dr. Aaron W. Todd Certificate of Merit Award. The Certificate of Merit is awarded to Member(s) that have distinguished his or herself on the Chapter Level, the State Level, and on the National Level. Dr. Aaron Todd was the 2nd National Executive Director and held this position for many years. His dedication and vision for The Gamma Beta Phi Society was invaluable in The Society journey.
3. The Dr. John W. Harris four-year school Scrapbook Award. The Scrapbook Award is awarded to the four-year school that wins the scrapbook competition. This scrapbook has already been selected as the best scrapbook in the Chapter's State. Dr. John W. Harris who founded the High School Beta Club, also established The Gamma Beta Phi Society in 1964 in Spartanburg, SC. Without his activism and vision, there would be no The Gamma Beta Phi Society today.
4. The Dr. Barbara C. Taylor two-year school Scrapbook Award. The Scrapbook Award is awarded to the two-year school that wins the scrapbook competition. This scrapbook has also already been selected as the best scrapbook in the Chapter's State. Dr. Barbara C. Taylor has distinguished herself in Gamma Beta Phi in many ways. She was a Chapter Advisor for over 30 years. She was The Society's National President three times. Her support and loyalty to The Gamma Beta Phi Society is second to no one.
